La proposition de la conférence « Clito - enquête et reconquête (micromonument pour le clitoris) » de l'artiste Catherine Radosa, qui montre sa vidéo « Motherland » (2019) dans l'exposition OSMOSCOSMOS, a pour point de départ un constat : le clitoris, bien qu'une moitié de la population humaine en soit dotée, est invisible, ou presque. Car il est l'objet d'un efface- ment, d'un déni de représentation, d'une invisibilisation méthodique. Là où le pénis et les formes phalliques s'imposent, s'assument, son autre féminin reste fantomatique, fait l'objet de mécon- naissance, de diabolisation dans l'histoire, et encore largement aujourd'hui. Comment s'en étonner alors que les manuels scolaires l'ont fait totalement disparaître ? Que sa réapparition y soit récente et encore timide, en France en tout cas. Que même l'apprentissage de l'anatomie médicale lui accorde difficilement sa place. Alors à quoi ressemble-t-il ? Où est-il ? Que fait-il ? Catherine Radosa se propose de réactiver sa puissance symbolique et sensitive. Après le récit d'une enquête à la recherche du clitoris perdu (dans les manuels scolaires, les esprits, jusqu'à l'espace public), mais aussi ses apparitions, l'artiste expose quelques-unes de ses recherches et productions sur la représentation du clitoris et propose un mode d'emploi, une série d'actions, d'objets, de gestes à partager (pour tous les âges), afin de créer collectivement un micromonument pour le clitoris.

The proposal of the conference "Clito - investigation and reconquest (micromonument for the clitoris)" by artist Catherine Radosa, who shows her video "Motherland" (2019) in the OSMOSCOSMOS exhibition, begins with an observation: the clitoris, although half of the human population has it, is almost invisible. Because it is the object of an erasure, a denial of representation, a methodical invisibilisation.Where the penis and phallic forms impose themselves, their other feminine remains ghostly, the subject of ignorance, of demonization in history, and still largely today. How to be surprised that the textbooks have made it disappear completely? May his reappearance there be recent and still timid, in France anyway.That even learning about medical anatomy hardly gives it its place. So what does it look like? Where is it ? What does it do ? Catherine Radosa proposes to reactivate its symbolic and sensitive power. After the account of an investigation in search of the lost clitoris (in textbooks, minds, up to the public space), but also its appearances, the artist exhibits some of her researches and productions on the representation of the clitoris and offers a manual, a series of actions, objects, gestures to share (for all ages), in order to collectively create a micromonument for the clitoris.
